I have a friend who works there. He has many years of experience, and only took some time away to be a Navy Seabee for a spell. Now he's back and wants out again. He got a truck with a bad transmission and got stranded... had electrical problems and got stranded again... they got him another tractor and he had to spend a half-day cleaning up after whatever dirtbag drove it previously.

Company trucks don't have APUs but inverters instead. That's okay unless you have battery / electrical problems. My APU actually keeps the batteries charged whenever it's running, so I'll likely never need a jump. That's an important difference for me at least.

Davis is supposed to be a Southeastern regional company but he runs a lot of stuff into the Northeast, so it sounds like drivers should not take the "Southeastern regional" thing too literally. He doesn't mind going wherever, but if it matters to you to stay close to home (Southeast), then just know in advance that you're not likely to be "strictly" Southeast regional. My friend is well paid and well treated. I think he would recommend Davis. But go in knowing this stuff ahead of time.
