My dad wants to buy my current truck so I am looking at some trucks and have found a couple that have sparked my interest. One is a 2000 w900 with a 1mm serial number c16. Just wondering what the difference was between a 7nz and 1mm c16 if any? Biggest question, is one better than the other?
any difference between 7nz and 1mm c16?

the 1MM or 5DS is a 3406 70pin ecm,(early C15) and 7NZ is a real C16 120 pin ecm , internal early vercion has a crown and skirt pinstons. 7NZ just have just 1 piez piston !!!

I thought 5DS was 3406 E 40 pin. 1MM was 3406 E 70 pin. and 7CZ (not7NZ) was C16 70 pin.

Dirt hauler is correct. 5ds 40 pin, 1mm and 7cz are 70. All are 15.8L. 1mm and 7cz share same differences as 2ws and 6nz 14.6L.....the front dress and rear bell housing and oil pan seal to block differently...that's the main differences...technically the wiring harnesses are touch different due to sensor placement....
Dairon00, swaan, Cetane+ and 1 other person Thank this. -
is one any better than the other?

7CZ is the best by virtue of less prone to oil leaks but all three have a lot in the million mile club. Some of the best OEM iron available IMHO!

Ya see, this is what really bothers me. Don't post if you don't have a clue what your talking about. It just gives people false information.Lalito.1234 Thanks this.

are all factory 600hp

Short and simple....yes!

If I were you......I would be shopping for a TRUCK, not an engine. Don't discount 2WS......6NZ....and even the 40 pin 14.6 L motors. I would never buy a truck based on engine ser# alone!
