Hi, i saw you're job post and was wondering do you drive within the state of california? I'm only 20 years old with wreckless driving on my dmv record, i do not have my cdl yet im trying to find a job before i go to trucking school. If you can not help me, do you know someone who can give me a for sure job when i finish school?

    thank you

When do you turn 21? I can tell you it is VERY unlikely that you find a job any time soon, based on the facts you have provided standalone.

Was that wreckless driving really a plea bargain down from a DWI?

That's what lots of recruiters will think when they see that on your MVR.

no it wasn't, i was street racing and the only reason why i was cited for wreckless driving is because the cop claim i was in and out of lanes, but i only switched lanes 1 time, could i have fought the case and just got written up for speeding? Yes, Did i feel like going back to court on it? No way, but i did write the judge a letter to try and have him reduce the charge and i was told once the ticket is paid in full, he will take it off my dmv record.

sorry to say, but i think the judge may have told you a white lye. my brother got an illuding ticket 15yrs ago and it came back to haunt him, you will be better off finding a small company to work for, that reckless is going to bury you in this day and age. good luck

no that is fact what the judge told me, my sister even told me her self i have to pay the ticket off for the charge to be dismissed, she works at the court house, but anyways i wouldnt know where to start when looking for a small business, all i can find is the big companys or otr jobs:biggrin_25510:

I wonder if I have just been lied to alot, but I know whenever I come across anyone around my age or younger I wonder why they believe everything they are told.

To be honest with you (not because I ever dihonest, but just to make up for what you are being told) I think that judge may tell you whatever he wants and you can't hold him to it a year later. Teh trucking school will tell you (up to the point that you will nod your head) that you can get hired, but then again if they told everyone that the economy was SH$% and freight was paying even worse, no one would sign up.

Now it doesn't mean that you can't find A job SOMEWHERE. It just means the deck is stacked against you. At 20, I would think you had some sort of flexibility in what you do until the economy turns around. Keep your options open. It never hurts to have a backup plan.

Even if your friggin crazy good at something, there is no way to guarrantee you will be given a shot right away. (boy has that been my lesson) Eventually, you will geet your shot. Be patient.
