Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Did you fill the position?
-
My truck is smoke free 100%. I forgot to metion a very importanat detail that I very much prefer a non-smoker. I hope that doesn't disqualify too many applicants. Rookie move by me.
I suppose if it came down to the right driver who like to light up outside of the truck that would be ok. I would need to withdraw a deposit of cleaning from the paycheck, though. -
I am taking basic information via email. Just checking out the scene over the weekend. Monday I will have an official application once I have narrowed it down to 5 people.
No, I have not filled the position yet. I don't think it will happen until tuesday or so. -
You already mentioned non smoking in the first post I believe
-
Is this a single truck start up company that will be running team, or are looking for someone to drive seperate truck? Also, would you be the owner of this start up company?
-
I'm the one who just called you from Mississippi about a few minutes ago. I'm just aching to get back on the road, and you sound like the way to get my foot in the door.
-
Yes, this is a one truck operation for now. I am actually looking for a single driver first. If they come as a team, that is something I will consider. Yes, I am the owner.
-
In choosing for this position, will it be based on driving only or will you be looking for someone with a business background along with driving?
-
I would beg to very strongly disagree that you are starting at 2 yrs experience pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10% of $2 a mile is only $0.20 cents a mile. I HAVE NEVER drove a truck for that cheap.
Not to be rude here, but I would be running like the wind away from this job myself. There are so many inconsistencies with the job description it sounds like a good way for the driver to really get the shaft. I've got a lot of alarm bells going off in my head over this one.
And while I agree that % is a good way to generate motivation in a driver its also an extremely good way for the driver to get royally screwed!
You mentioned this is a good paying job. I wouldn't really call the suggested revenue that either.
Over $1200 a week after taxes is good paying. $1100 before taxes isn't any thing to brag about.
It is better than nothing tho.creekrd, FriedTater, LadyDallasDriver and 1 other person Thank this.
