That used to be the case, modern day drifters. Cowboys had a code of honor for the most part. There has always been a few that didn't follow the code. Truckers used to have the same minus a few. Seems now very few are in it for no reason other than money, their money. For most Its the job to go to when nothing else works, for some its what they have looked for all their life. There is a little somg to the ride for the brand saying, treat his cattle like your own. Or you need to make the boss money to make money. You have 11 hrs of "daylight" use them wisely.

Back in '78 I told my wife, family that I was going to a diesel academy and learn to drive a big truck and make $700 a week which was a lot of money back in the day, I received no support from nobody not even my wife who's uncle was a driver for the old Schneider Transport, Was told that there is no way that I would make it and fresh out of school that there was no way that I would make $700 a week. Well, 35 yrs. later all I can say is I guess they where right, as I did not make the $700 a week, fresh out of the academy, I was making over $1,000.00 week and now looking to retire some day from trucking......

I say go for it. I have been trying to get my wife to go for years but she is afraid of the driving through city thing. I also think it's being away from the grand kids too. Good luck.
