Any flatbed work?

  1. Just bought a 1990 pete with a 20' flatbed, any flatbed work out there in the oil fields?

20' flatbed, I'm assuming it's a tri-axle straight truck. You may find some work in tighter geographical areas where the trailers have trouble getting in, but you'll be losing money to the hot-shots since you'll be competing for the same loads. Around here a few O/O's run trucks like that hauling rock from a few local quarries, usually one or 2 big rocks chained down.

  4. Bought the truck to flip it, just thought there might be some quick cash out there. Planning to head out there next year with my kw and lease onto a company working 2 week on 1 week off.
