Any good central CA(fresno) companies?

I have no idea if these companies are any good or not but if you have a tanker endorsement California Freight, Indian River, and Cherokee Freight Lines all run food-grade tankers out of the Central Valley. I believe they're home often as in every night or every other night because I think most of their trucks I've seen have small mid-roof sleepers.

 

Bulldog Freightway, Kiwi Transport, ABF all have terminals in Fresno.

I used to drive for Kamway transportation from Washington and we had a crappy and dusty drop yard off North ave.

There's a milk plant in Tulare that hires local drivers. But they have driver-facing cameras. Ruan is there, too.

Fresno has a population of just over 800,000.
Should be something around your neighborhood.

 

With one year experience there's a couple dozen OTR companies to choose from. In your post you said OTR.

Might have to move to lathrop or Modesto. Lathrop is the hot spot for trucking in LTL and fuel. My buddy has been commuting for years and years from Merced to lathrop. He finally found a local company close by in Turlock only took him 18 years. People hold on to their jobs in that area.

 

Cherokee freight lines is union and have killer benefits last I knew.
