I am honestly not quite ready to be in the market yet. It will be a year or maybe a tad longer. I am just doing my research at this point to see what I really should do. I will take my time making a decision - don't want to be another bad statistic.

They did the rebuild at Alstate in Fargo. I've watched Damian pull floors out myself. Even young Keith himself told me if they're not how they want people to view our company, they're not going to sell them, so they pretty them up nice. That's why they've been getting pissed about people putting their winch bars in the sleeper door on the short hoods. Become friends with the service guys instead of demanding things, and they will help you out more than you think. I've never had a bad experience with them, but I also don't #####, complain, or demand things of them.

379's will only go up in price a year from now....that being said, a nice aero freghtliner will prob go down in price and be a better buy for you/

And won't be worth #### when you drive it off the lot. I've driven enough freightliners to know I would never buy one.

Doesn't say in the add whether its a 6nz or not. Probably isn't? it doesn't have 6nz in the serial # anywhere. 2000 Pete is the last truck I drove. It was Burgandy with the window in the back. same set up as this one. 475/10. It was a good truck

Im talking about purchase value, not resale.

If your concerned about resale, consider the fuel savings in the life of the truck. An aero truck will get 1 mpg better and save approx 10,000 per year in fuel (120,000 miles / year) Even if the truck has no resale value, it paid the resale in fuel savings.

    Battle Born Thanks this.

    i have one for sale.
    its a 2005 379 exhd.
and the beauty of it, is all around inside and out.
    i can send pictures.
its a fully loaded on all levels and more.
and the crown jewel is the platinum kit (overhaul) i just did and a lot more,,,polished intake hoses, painted turbo, polished turbo hoses and clamps...and a lot more,,,she`s a real beauty.
im only asking for 65k. plus its got 300k peterbilt warranty, and of course all documents.
make no mistake,, the truck has 939000 miles and this is the first motor work i ever did on it.
i am very well aware of all thats being said on the pete 379s and c15 twin turbo engines and do not say that it is all lies and stories.
but i drove this truck since may of 2009 and if it wasnt the new ca epa regs, i would keep it for my kids. the truth is that even the guys over at rush truck center in sylmar ca were in a bit of a shock when i told them i want to do the engine.
just for the record, there was no problem with the engine. and i can provide pics of the old pistons and liner with 939000 original miles on them for anyone to see and inspect.
the parts are still on the table over at the shop in sylmar.
as for the rest of the stuff i hear about the c15 , i can tell you this my friends,,,if you listen to your motor more often and try to adjust your driving habbits to it, it would service you well beyond your imagination.
