Any have a good aftermarket warranty ?

Last Oct when my brother busted the crank in his Cummins it was going to be almost $50k. But that was back when overhaul kits were nonexistent. He ended up buying a used X15 and dropping it in his truck.

 

I said two overhauls. This was 4 or 5 yrs ago.

 

Is that what happens if you redline and drop the clutch in 6th gear? Lol

 

He had just turned into his local tire shop and it went. He was low speed and low rpm so at least he didn’t ruin his block. Overhaul kits were at least 45 days out at that time. He swapped engines and then sold his old one.

 

Hey Brandon would you recommend that engine looking at a 2019 kw t680 with the efficiency series 527k miles.

 

What were the mileage on those engines? I have been looking at a few 2019,2020 with the x15 but seems most need a rebuild by 600k miles? Are all the new engines like that?
I had a turbo done at my local shop and there was one with 800kms on it being done in an international, was told this company has only international and most need a rebuild by 800kms, the rest by 1mil kms. That's horrible isnt it? I have 860k MILES on my 60series, and it doesnt use a drop of oil between changes. Should I just expect an X15 to not go far.

 

That’s what I was worried about I’ve heard that these new engines are getting rebuilds at around 600k. I have a 05 Volvo with a d12 was thinking of making the Volvo a spare and getting something new but not sure about this purchase with the mileage on engine.
