Any hear of the strike in Brazil?

Its not a strike, its a revolution.

 

I am a Brazilian and a former US Trucker with Texas CDL. I was OTR at Dart Transit and moved back to Brazil years ago. Our nation is under attack, our enemy is the politicians. ITs not just a strike, its a revolution. People can't afford work just for make ends meet, and pay taxes. We will overthrown this governament. Its a matter of time.

 

Here is the deal: If a bolivian buy fuel in Brazil then they pay 1.70 BRL/liter. If a brazilian buy fuel then the cost is 3.30 BRL/Liter due taxes. We are not a bunch of slaves and stupids, enough is enough. Heads will roll down the road.

 

Petrobras is the state owned company well know for its corruption scandals abroad years ago. Petrobras is struck with billions and billions in debt. Petrobras is the only one refinary owner in Brazil. Petrobras increased gas prices to pay its debt and its fine due corrption scandals. We will not pay their debt.

Even though I am originally from Brasil, I don't follow the news in that country... Just heard about the strike today talking to my dad's wife... It has been going on for 6 days now... people, not only truckers are really fed up with the corrupt government, fuel prices and so much more...

 

You are a BRAZILIAN!? Hey, I am originally from Brasil too... Being in the US for decades now and being OTR for 10 yrs now...
I truly hope the Brazilian people overthrow the government... However, the big problem is... who are they going to put in place? As you know... everybody is corrupt in that country...

Yeap, i am in Curitiba right now. I am a former Texas Trucker, OTR driver in the 48 states, but the 2009 crisis brought me back home.

Ok... are you "happy" that you went back to Brasil? The economy here is very good now... at least for now... And we have tons of freight.... more freight than trucks...
