So, I've asked this twice before, figure I'll give it one more shot. I'm testing for my cdl this week. Final week at school. I'm really looking for some good Info on ALTL. I'm talking with a recruiter this week also, but I'd like to have some Info to verify what the recruiter will tell me. However, after much digging, I'm finding it extremely difficult to find ANYTHING on them other than they have good equipment and the amount of trucks they have. Help?
Any help apreciated

What is ALTL? Less than truckload something? Maybe that's why you're not getting responses.

ALTL located in Hudsonville, MI specializes in customized transportation and

I haven't heard of them, but what I have learned from experience is that no information on the internet is a pretty good sign. If there is much bad info there is usually some truth to it. People tend to talk about the bad, and leave out the good.

From my experience the truck driving recruiter is about 100 times lower than a used car lot salesman Because some of them get paid $1000 a head to suck you in You see that is why these people offer you $1000 or more Sign on bonus Why would someone pay you to sign up with them Unless they are inviting you to join uncle Lou university. That is Lou as in Lucifer university

It might help if you post what the recruiter is telling you. Even if no one knows the specific company sometimes it's easy to spot BS.
My general rule with a recruiter is if they tell you "I don't know" at some point that is a good sign. One that has all the answers is most likely making things up to the questions they don't know the answer to.
Honestly, if you're coming out of a trucking school a company this size will most likely be better than any megacarrier option out there. Like someone else said, no information is usually often a good sign on the internet. -
for starting off right out of school the smaller the company is the better off you are going to be

I always love recruiter bashing... Recruiters are mostly not truckers and do not know trucking, they themselves have no idea what the hell the company offers in the real world and saying that the vast majority of drivers NEVER ask in depth questions.. They normally ask, how fast the trucks go and how many pennies per mile they are gonna get paid.. other than that the questions die off. Recruiters in my opinion do not lie.. they simply are not asked questions and if they are asked real questions, they normally have a way to get the real question asked. Blaming recruiters for picking among trucking companies who's main difference is the color of paint the truck is, is a cop out!
