I believe that CR England hires felons, but if I recall its got to be seven years old.
Some places want ten years. I read that on this board since I don't drive for OTR companies.
Is there any way you can get it expunged from your record?
CRST,Schneider,Shepard Watkins, Lilly are all half-way decent outfits from what I hear. Dont know about the criminal record requirements however.
Best of luck to you. Be persistent and you WILL become a Driver, like us.Wargames Thanks this. -
Try the smaller companies or even owner operators. You will be better off going there then the mega-companies anyway. It may take you some time and a lot of research but I am sure someone will hire you. There are over 450,000 companies in the US so the statistics are on your side. Good luck man!

First recommendation... don't use the term "Gear Jamming"... no one in active trucking (that I know of) uses it. You'll stand out like a newb if you do.
Other than that, good luck, and I second the England thing, but you won't make much money....but you can put away a year or so there, and hopefully go to a better company after that.
As far as qualifications, most large companies that have a website will have a listing of their basic qualifications - usually listing experience and record stats. -
My advice. Stay home.
