Yeah first thing you can do is leave NJ and move to another state!! Not being funny but serious, nothing against you but that state is an absolute disaster. That is except for the southern and western part around PA.
rodknocker Thanks this. -
I know but thats easier said then done but i am just getting tired of being a company driver i wanna be my own boss and make more money i hope thats what we all want

I understand, I love being my own boss wouldnt change it for the world. It is great when you want to go home or just say screw it and deadhead 600 miles to the house instead of be cooped up in the truck all weekend at the truckstop. I can totally understand where you are coming from! I dont have any suggestions on local work up there but do see alot of dump buckets up around Newark, so there must be some stuff going on there. You should be able to make some money most of them I see are pretty decent rigs!

Yea I guess it just one of thoses things i guess i just have to see what work is around and find a truck and weight out the pros and cons day cab or dump truck i just like to saty local.

Keep in mind. Owner operators that are making plenty of money and home a lot don't paint no blue sky about the bread and butter company they work for.
