I'm coming up on a year's experience (10 and a half months currently and counting) and I live in SW Florida around the Fort Myers area (about 100 miles south of Tampa/ 150 miles north of Miami). I'm hoping I can find either some local work or a route in Florida or AT LEAST Southeast(U.S.) regional once I get a year under my belt.
^^^Thank you for this reference.
Any info about Florida regional area?

So, my dream of moving from Ohio to the Gulf Coast and finding a decent driving job are slim? I've got nearly three years in and tired of these winters here.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
What part of the Golf coast?

Good jobs are not plentiful in Florida. Never have been.

Most spotter jobs around here are a set 40 hours and only like 15 bucks an hour. Now if that is what you are looking for then let me know, I think I can get you a job lol. You can also message me. If you don't mind working 6 days a week, home almost every night and making decent money.
There is no getting rich in this industry. But I think they are looking for a driver with a clean record, 3+ years experience, and good work ethic at my job. Pay for all drivers is equal, most have been with the company 15+ years, but we only have 15 drivers at this DC. Pay is right around 50k a year. Paid in mileage and cubic feet on unload. -
