When I was hauling sand for Schneider I was making $1200-$1500 a week, but I was sleeping in the truck 3 nights a week and also I was working 6/1. The most I made at Schneider was $1700 a week but those were 18-20 hour days. Like I said we were always stuck on the lease road waiting or stuck on the pad waiting to blowoff...

Uncle Ben -
Husband has an app in with Chalk Mountain and we are waiting for the background check and all to be done. We have done a few interviews over the phone and all of the other companies have mentioned right off the bat that you have to shave. I know it seems like a silly question but do you know if you have to shave LOL
just to clarify, its not a deciding factor, he is just really dreading it LOL -

No facial hair so that a mask or respirator will seal.
unloader Thanks this. -
aaaah alright then, wishful thinking I guess. Didn't know it was for the mask and respirator, now that I do I understand why its ALL of the companies. If we had other options maybe it would be a dealbreaker Eninety2 but since we don't I guess I get to see my husband for the first time without a beard.....

When I was hauling sand for Schneider Bulk the safety guys were always giving us a hard time about being clean shaven. Even after a couple of days of sitting at the well site out in the desert waiting to blow sand, you'd get back to the yard and the safety guys would come out and talk to us, they would tell you to go home and shave before you came back to work.
Also we did a "fit test" for our respirators when I was training in Dallas I remember, you would don your respirator and they would make you sniff some sort of stinky chemical and see if you could smell it with your respirator on.
FYI, I'm hauling crude oil now, and I was asking about respirators at my new job with one of the safety guys. RESPIRATORS DO NOT PROTECT YOU FROM H2S!
Uncle Ben -
I just got back from Chalk Mountain. They had called me and asked me several questions and then instructed me to go put in a hard application. I was able to get in to see the hiring manager and she said it looked good. They are running the background and hopefully will call me for an interview.
She also said that the drivers are working 48 to 60 hrs a week. As of yesterday they said they needed 25 drivers due to having bought more trucks.
I will post as things progress -
Has anybody hauled water for them. If so what, what is it like, what is the pay and hours per week.

Chalk Mountain say they get a driver home daily. How do they do that if the driver lives in Houston?
