How do they get out from under the liability of their name being on the MC number when sold?
This could be a little bump in my retirement fund if this works in 10-15 years.

The only way to really do it is if the authority is in a corporate name. New owner buys the Corp and now owns the authority as well.

The threads always end and no one ever hears what they went for. LOL. I offered mine up once and he said I was high $ so right then I knew it would be crazy to sell it.

I am not so sure if Insurance Carriers could be easily deceived like this... They do ask for IFTA miles last 4 quarters, loss run from previous Insurance, MVR history and previous employment and such...I don't know but if some guy buys MC# starting with 4 and they quote him only 6 grand for premium liability... sounds like a joke. Not getting loads from some brokers in the first 6 months or a year is not as bad as it sounds.
