Landair seems to be so quite with no complaints. Does anyone have any Landair complaints they can share? Im looking to get on with them as soon a opening in California pops up.

Landair runs east of the Mississipi river they dont hire drivers from California.
They hire owner operators but im not sure if your from the west coast if they
will hire you or not.I assume your talking about Landair Transport that is out
    of Greenville TN.

You would be wise to avoid this company, low pay lousy miles. Most of their trucks
are turned down to 62 mph.You will haul a lot of broker loads because they dont
have enough regular customers to keep you moving. You dont get paid for a load
until after they get the pw.If they misplace it you dont get paid till they can find
it.They wont tell you until you finish orientation that if you quit before 6 months
they keep $250 of your pay. They get you to do a lot of local work and then pay
you by the mile, waste half your day on a 50 mile load and pay you $17 thats not
even minimum wage. They dont have EZ PASS in any of their trucks so you have
to pay all tolls then send in receipts to get reimbersed.Only a few trucks have the
PRE PASS so you better not pass that weigh station. They have the most screwed
up routing system i have ever seen it tells you to follow routes that are dangerous
and difficult just to avoid tolls and use fuel stops to save a few cents on a gallon
of Diesel. Most of their experienced drivers have quit in the last few months when
the management cut the drivers pay.If you like driving NJ.PA.OH.MD. your gonna
see plenty of all of them. Now they are considering starting a lease purchase program
if that aint a red flag i dont know what is.You will be lucky if you can earn $30,000 a
    year working for this company.

all of the above it quite true...they fired me two weeks before my six month anniversary date and they still charged me the 250.00 for orientation...just an overall terrible company

Just to keep this post fresh, I'm a NYC based driver looking for regional work. Looking into Landair. I don't have a problem with NJ/PA/MD/NY/CT/VA if that's what they're REALLY offering.

What I want is regular hometime. If freight is slow, and the money is low, I can be understanding. But I'd understand a 3 day weekend a lot better at the house with a homecooked meal rather than shelling out for the junkfood at a T/A.

Plus how can their NOT be work into the Big Apple? My last company couldn't PAY people enough to go INTO NY, but I could never find a load home for my day off.

Kinda disturbing they won't pay for EZpass though, that's pretty much a MUST in the NE.

If you can live on $300 a week Landair is the company for you. They leave you
sitting somewhere most weekends but it wont be near your home. They dont do
much NYC or New England, just a lot of NJ,PA,MD,OH,And not having EZ-PASS is
a joke considering the areas they run freight thru.
