I've heard some of the fedex ground contractors will hire out of certain cdl schools.

Do you know if Canadian Customs would want to wake up the co-driver in the sleeper?
-
The driver-facing camera is the main reason I don't consider them.ducnut Thanks this.

I don't know. Went to Canada many times, but as a solo driver.

If we're going down that road, which of all the less-than-ideal megas would best approximate some sort of terminal to terminal out and back type job?
-
get a self storage place address. sometimes they have mail service. or get a ups store physical mailboxGYPSY65 Thanks this.

Thanks for that info
I was being a little sarcastic as it seems there’s always some wrench thrown into the mix
But that’s good info for anyone else needing that
?
if you use that. Will they allow you to put that as your physical address as you need something on the drivers license -
When I went to get my CDL, here in IL, I had to provide proof of residency via utilities and/or lease agreement.GYPSY65 Thanks this.

The best answer there....of which I'm aware....would be intermodal duty.
For that--you're looking at Schneider, or Swift, or J B Hunt.
Those are the big intermodal players in the "less-than-ideal mega" world.
Especially Schneider and J B Hunt.
But I'm not aware of any training opportunites for teams in the intermodal world.
I've done intermodal work--it's NOT a good starting point for rookies, in my experience.
