Just asking hauling livestock is like nothing else in trucking. Onve they're on the truck, gotta go.one good side no lumpers and no waiting to unload generally. Sometimes a slaughterhouse will be backed up. When I'm picking up sale barns some waiting until a load is bought. No 10hr breaks with cattle on truck. More and more trucks loading in Florida have teams. Find someone to ride with to show you what its like. Not only do you drive the truck, you load it and unload it too.Ctalarico07 and bzinger Thank this.

Yeah that's the main reason I'm looking into a lease with livestock hauling they have paper exemption and I can run my ### off and pay my tractor of asap lol
-
We don't have paper exempt yet. It is tied to a transportation bill and is only for 1 year. We do not have an exemption until it passes and is signed by the President. Livestock hauling is no bed of roses. Find someone to go with first, it is WORK. And is extremely dangerous.bzinger Thanks this.

I grew up in a livestock hauling household and around cattle .
There's a reason my step father is in his early 70s and looks a 100 .
I've always said no thanks to cow hauling and always will .
Cow hauling is feast and famine also . -
Yes they earn their paychecks forsure! Though most do seem to drive some pretty nice trucks.
