Any Local/OTR trucking companies in illinois?

    Been out of a truck for slightly over 2 years, have not forgotten how to drive, just need a job, possibly willing to drive for a moving company to gain much needed experience. Any jobs leads would be appreciated.

    Most of the bigger OTR companies are hiring out of most parts of Illinois. Not sure that's what you're looking for, though. More likely than not, they'll want to throw you through a CDL refresher course. A lot has changed in the last 2 years.

    I know that swift and werner both have their in-house training programs in full swing in phoenix and indianapolis. Its much less of a hassle just to go through an independent CDL course, though.

    If you had a CDL in the past, some companies are still hiring with "at least three years verifiable OTR in the past 5 years", or similar stipulations. Might want to punch OTR into the search bar on craigslist. I've been seeing a lot of listings like that for the upcoming holiday rush.
