I'm going to haul something that is around 15' 10" in height. I'm pretty sure this is well under anything I'll come across, but I'm trying to make absolutely sure. I can't find anything online and the ports told me I'd have to come in before they can tell me details about anything...I'm not really a trucker, this is with my personal pickup so I'm not exactly sure where to find this info. I thought maybe someone here could help me out.

Phoenix to Houston on the I10. I'm good right?

    Thanks for any info!

Better grab a Rand McNally Motor Carriers Road Atlas. It lists all of the low clearance bridges.

Statutory height in most states in 13'6". He's hauling something 15'10". Rand McNally only lists those bridges below statutory height. His best bet would be to contact the DOT for the states he plans on passing through with this load. Those numbers are listed in the Rand McNally book.

14 feet is legal along your route, but past Tucson but before the exit for 302 you will not be able to get under the bridge before the exit. You need a route survey done and certified.

You could call the over sized permits offices in those states and give them your route. They should be able to tell you if there are any overpasses that will cause you a problem.

Very true, over 14'6 requires a route survey anyways before permits are issued. Pole car and escort as well, I run that way and know there is no way around that bridge before AZ mm302 on 10 so it will be another route around.

No route surveys in those states, but 15' 10" is not to be taken lightly. You are getting high enough that traffic lights, wires and signs can come into play, can't stay on the big road all the way and if AZ catches you they will rip you a new one.
i believe that is a RR bridge in Benson, no ramps. Houston can get you into trouble fast. You can not go thru on 10.
