We lost out butt with Malone. They talk a great game about how much you will run and how great they pay. This was at the end of 2008. My husband would sit for days begging for a load. He was willing to take anything they offered him as we had two kids to feed and I am disabled. He worked 2-3 days per week. He was willing to stay out on weekends and go most of the places they offered unless they tried to give him a load going somewhere you can't get out of. My husband has been driving since 1983 and there are only two states he hasn't been in. He knows where you can get out of and where you can't. His average load was $1.36 to 1.40. Maybe things have changed but I know he wouldn't even run a load off of the load board for them. He even asked to see a few of the invoices for the loads he ran. They would not let him see them. IMHO if a company will not show you the invoice, they are cheating you.

We are trying to grow our business and one thing I can tell you is that we have no need to treat our drivers that way. We are not money hungry. Everything we own is paid for and I am not a shopper.

This is not a solicitation for employment. We are not quite ready to hire yet.

Dart is just as bad. Good luck in your endeavers. I don't know where you are but there is a company in Georgia called Kennesaw Transportation. They give out about $250,000.00 in bonuses at Christmas and most drivers have been there for a very long time. I really wish my husband had gone to work there but he was tired of other people making the money he worked for.

Best of luck to you. There are a lot of folks on here with really great advise. Listen to them. They know what they are talking about. Ask a lot of questions and ask them if they put it in writing.
