My driver manager is pretty descent and easy to work for. He is always available and usually able to answer my question.. Just lately been pulling alot of grocery lds or lds with a delivery time that would be consider to much time under ld. But as a whole i dont see freight picking up this season maybe a spike b4 Xmas. Who knows.

I would'nt say GM has a hiring freeze, i just refered a driver for oreintation in Knocksville but they do have a freeze on referal bonuses:biggrin_2551:.
Depends on your location.. If your prior or laid off Yellow, Roadway or Holland driver the doors may be closed unless you resign from union. Seems they got tired of being a temp agency.:biggrin_25525:

The good news is freight has been picking up, hopefuly it continues and just wasnt a short spike.:biggrin_25520:

Like all management they look at the books and go by them sometimes its good other times it stinks. Sadly that is the nature of the industry,I can say I do very well here but like many company's they all have their good and bad. All we can do is bear with it and pray that things get better, besides I am surprised no one said anything about YRC applying for a bail out.

My name is Gail Foltz. I am last years Chairman award winner for USF Glen Moore. I do not understand any of what I have read. I and my husband have been with the company for over three years. We have made many friends, company and drivers alike. We have always been treated fairly. As with any company we have had bad days and there have been times that we acted as if we were the only drivers having a bad day that our driver manager had too deal with. I am not sayting that some of you don't have real complaints. But what job can you go too where you won't? The one driver talked about Jevic for instance.. Everything was great there for him ( they are now out of business) Sometimes companies have too do what they do for the good of the company. I have seen friends lose thier jobs here, Mostly because we no longer have frieght too get them home. I have too say I have been at home on disability for 6 months. I miss my husband and our job. I miss seeing my friends and my pay check. I have been treated more than fair. I can tell you that most companies would have given up on me coming back too work after this long. I love my job and the people that we work for. But they have bad days just as we do. I urge you that may be planning too leave USF Glen Moore to reconsider, I have worked very hard to help alot of you that have leaft get your jobs back once you had calmned down after a bad day. The grass is not greener on the other side of the fence. And last but not least if you are having a problem that can not be worked out with you DM then by all means go too Art, he is the one that can help you. And if he can not then you don't really want too work as part of a team and won't be happy anywhere. Take responsibility for making sure your DM knows weeks ahead when you want too be home and then remind him or her every couple of days. You are not the only driver they have that has needs. Responsibility and comunnication are the keys and it doesn't hurt too read the paper and be thankful that you still have a job. Thank you for you time. And greatful for my job and for my work FAMILY. This is coming in a little late. But I sure hope for anyone reading this things have gotten better. I don't know what has gone on in Knoxville. I am out of Carlisle. I know that Gary has been very busy and he and Phil both had too do some traveling for awhile. But if your Dm is not helping you you need too follow your chain of command. Art then Phil then Gary. I have had my share of what I thought on a bad day were terrible problems( the next day it always looked a little better) But Art has always been my last stop. He has always gone out of his way too acommadate us. But then we also go out of our way too acommadate the company. This is our company if it fails we fail. We have too look at it that way. There are times I wish I could be home. I am missing out on alot. But this is the life I choose. This company did not kick down my door and make me come here. They did not lie too me and they didn't tell me to become a truck driver. There may be an inexperinced DM, but complainning won't make her feel any better. Why not make an appointment and talk too her. So many of us get on the QC and write letters when we are mad about something. They don't have time for that. I would be short tempered if I had 100 crazed drivers yelling at me. Trust me there is no perfect job. You can not change how someone treats you but you can change how you respond too how you are treated. Maybe if you change how you respond it will change everything.

    bigwillygbcs Thanks this.
