I know this is a crappy time of the year for freight, and the terrible economy compunds things.

Wife and I start CDL school tomorrow, and have been pre-hired by 3 big companies out of the gate. That means we're 4 weeks from somebody's orientation.

I'm just curious if anyone driving teams is seeing any real miles. I've read other posts that some company's teams are seeing less miles than some solo company drivers.

    Thanks very much.

I have been teaming with my wife for a year now. We are getting laid over pretty regularly now. Normally we run about 4500 to 5000 miles per week in 6 days but now we are turning about 3500 to 4000 miles in 7 days. the worst layover has been 2 days in Atlanta so far. Looks like we will be laid over till tomorrow at least. We have been empty since 2200 last night.

I would not have high expectations at this point if I were you. Be happy that you have a job and are making "something."

Teams will have a better shot at keeping their jobs and getting load assignments faster than a solo would.

    GOOD LUCK!
