Chemical pays better due to more than just insurance costs. Drivers have to be better trained and knowledgeable about hazmat procedures. A fine for just having the paperwork or placards wrong can cost tall dollars.

    Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

The place in IN sells this setup. You could also go with a Paragon single unit if space is an issue. I'm not a huge fan of the system, but a lot of guys use one.

What do you not like about that set up in particular? Also thank you so much for sharing this information guys very helpful! Do you still have room for an APU with that set up on there? Weight wise? How much does that set up add to your gross?

Do you have to have all of this to haul tanker? Doesn’t the pickup location pump it in and the receiver pump it out?

Not all places do all the work. Small places tend to make you do the work.

Yes..... lots of carriers make you install the pumps.....

Almost all loading racks have their own pumps. But lots of customers don’t .

ChicagoJohn and Midwest Trucker Thank this.

So basically if you are going to be a serious tanker hauler you need to have the pump setup? But not necessarily required depending on who your hauling for?

    Orange713 Thanks this.
