I had a clean record but have gotten 2 tickets in OK in past few months-south of I 70 0n both US69 and I35.Both officers had trumped up lies that pulled me out of a line of traffic-
is anyone else getting harrassed in these areas?
can they prove it was YOU on radar? when you know you werent doing what they said as everyone else is passing you.

You have the right to go to court to defend yourself. Get a lawyer and have at it.
Whether you have any chance of overturning the citation, only the lawyer in or around that jurisdiction can say? Maybe they can plea down to a lesser charge, but the fine will be the same. At least you won't have the points assessed.

yeah-take off driving-thousands of $'s then travel to OK and pay atty-not worth it.They have truck drivers and they know it-its wrong-need to be able to charge the idiot law thrice the price when they buy anything delivered by trucks in OK!!

If you have 2 moving violations and you don't fight them it could cost you much more than the cost of paying the fines. I have a friend who has had a difficult time finding work after getting 3 moving violations in a 6 months time period. The second one will drop off next month. I told him that he should fight them. He didn't. He didn't want to spend the money to fight them, so he paid the price in lost income for almost 3 years. The best thing in the future is to slow down if you were speeding. If it were me I would fight them. Even two tickets could cause you a problem with some carriers, depending on the violations. These days you can't just pay a ticket and forget about it. There is too much at stake. A lawyer can cost from $200-500 per offense, but you should be able to keep your driving record in tact. One other thing you should keep in mind is CSA. If the tickets stand your CSA score will go up.

You may not need to go to court if you hire a lawyer. They can often work something out without you having to be present.

Go hire a lawyer, it will cost more in the long run,and yes they have to fill their quota of tickets for CSA2010,to show the goverment is doing its best to protect the public.

I got a ticket for doing 70 in a 60 and got the truck to a repair shop told the guy on duty I needed the speed odometer fixed. He got into the truck looked confused got out and told me it was fine.I gave him $50 then he found the problem and wrote me receipt for a speed censor. And I took that to court and the judge dismissed the case.Always try to get out of a speeding ticket. The most important reason is that if you ever have an accident they can use old speeding tickets to help convict you.You never know so its best to C.Y.A
