Would knowledgeable people please respond to this request. I'm looking for any reliable information from current, recently discharged or drivers who just moved on, about Gypsum Express out of Baldwinsville NY. One of my concerns is their website information about the national average turnover of drivers being well over 100% and theirs being 30%. In doing the math, at 500 trucks that would be about 1 driver every 2 weeks for them. Any and all info will help. THANKS!

I don't know anyone that has worked for them, but I applied a year or so ago.
I have not heard anything bad about them, and when Path went under they picked up all Paths old freight.
Last I heard from them they were trying to set up a yard near me so that drivers from this area could park there trucks there weekends, since they dont like drivers bringing there trucks home. I don't know if they ever got the county grant to get water to the site though, which was the hang up.
Besides flat they run allot of Thruway Doubles for Budwiser on the NY turnpike.
I can tell you that the national driver turnover rate is over 100%. Some companys are up at 130%. Mostly those are training companys though.Papa Smurf Thanks this. -
One driver every two weeks, for a company that size does'nt sound all that bad.

Not a bad company, have a yard in Jax fl, I beleve. They used to run curtain sides also. I spoke to a driver or two, and they were quite happy !! I think turnover rates have dropped quite a bit, perhaps 75% nationwide? Good Luck..........

Is that the company that runs black Int'l and hauls sheet rock? They run Ca./Nv. a lot out of Port of Long Beach.

All there trucks that I know are Red, mostly Internationals.
They haul sheet rock, that is where there name came from. Haul whatever they can I am sure. Have Flats, Curtians and dryvans.
I live in Western NY, so I see them constantly. But most that I see in NY are duel 54's on the turnpike. Mostly beer loads.
They haul all of Paths old runs though, which were mostly sheet rock.
####, I forgot to ask a friend if they ever got that grant again, saw him today and totally forgot about it. I need to start looking for my next company. And they were already on my short list if they got that lot done.
I have been laid off since June with my current company and they dont think they will be going strong again till next year. I have allot of unemployment left, but I rather not sit that long. 450 a week is not cutting it.Papa Smurf Thanks this.
