Oh yes - comes with a limestone gravel floor and an endless sky blue ceiling. It sucks when the sprinkler goes off though.

My list would include the machine to deck a bloc and head, the one to counter boar for liner protrusion. The machines that you will only need once in 3-4 years.

agreed, I sure can't think of one that is truly required that isn't worth owning.

I'm speaking in terms of if a guy has only 1 maybe 2 trucks. How often will he need a 800 dollar liner puller, a liner protrusion gauge, compression test set things like this that cost neighborhood of a grand, that no more than they are used does it really worth it to own them. Now if he is grows or starts working on outside trucks maybe then. I own a heavy equipment repair business as well as the two trucks, if I can loan a good customer a thousand dollar piece to work on his stuff tickles me to death. I don't mind loaning my competition something twice, if they ask to borrow the same thing 3 times I loan it but inform them if you have to borrow it 3 times it time you buy one. But can a small owner operator really justify that kinda money for maybe using it once every 5 years. If he has to overhaul his running gear that often maybe he should let somebody else do it to start with. Working on trucks ain't rocket science by no means, but I have yet to see a trained monkey do it. I agree being able to handle any task at hand is handy, but at what cost does it become overkill?

yotaman, Boardhauler and cetanediesel Thank this.
