Hello!
I am not even sure this is a possibility, but I am the wife of a man who has his CDL B and drives for one of our local school districts. He's very interested in getting his CDL A, but we both feel like going thru a school at this point would be a waste of both time and money. His instructor told him at the end of his B training that he is very close to being able to test for his A.
Is there anyone out there who would be able and willing to spend some time with him teaching him how to drive your vehicle and then allow him to test in your vehicle?
Obviously, we would compensate you for your time and fuel, etc.
Again, I have no clue if this is even possible, but decided it never hurts to ask!
By the way, this is an awesome website!
Any OO's in the greater Phoenix area, AZ?

That's a tall request, but could be possible. To find an O/O that will let him drive his truck and use it for a DMV exam won't be easy. The O/O would be cringing each time hubby ground a few gears or curbed a tire.

We do really hope to find someone, though! Its so incredible how expensive school is and since he has already had some pretty intense training to do what he is now, we're hoping to be able to avoid that!
If you are an O/O, would you be at all interested? I see you are located in Kingman, but I'm sure my hubby would be willing to travel up there. If not, do you happen to know anybody who may be?
Thanks for the reply!!! -
No, sorry, I retired in'08 and don't know anyone. The big issue is time and insurance liabilities.

Thanks so much for your time and advice!
