Any other similar experiences starting out like I've had in 2014? This has been hell

Don't know where you're located but your next job SHOULD be driving SOMETHING even if it's pizza delivery or a cab, while you hunt for your next 'real' trucking job. Reason's that all your experience adds up, knowledge of area, freeways, streets, yada, yada.
Back when I was a computer guy in So. Calif., I part-timed delivering horse corrals with F350 PowerStroke pulling a 24-foot customized trailer (had been boat trailer at one time). That wouldn't have been for you but every auto parts store has a pickup to make deliveries to shops. Some of those parts houses have straight trucks, too. Start delivering parts, then later, move up.
It's too bad about Reddaway not putting you into a straight truck where you probably would have been fine. But if they need a yard hostler or a local PU driver with day cab and half set, well, they do what they want with you until you've earned some stripes. And probably cost you the job.
I'm wondering if you need the 'A' or better if you changed back to 'B'. Might keep you out of trouble. So you don't get dispatched on tractor-trailer only 'cause you're a warm body with an 'A' license.
Sometimes the union can be the source for a referral or heads up on who's hiring. Might ask for a list of all the outfits they represent in your area. -
If you never push yourself to do something that you aren't comfortable with then you will never grow. I put myself in situations regularly where I am cursing myself, I'm my head or outloud. Although on public streets that may not be the best advice but hear this random suggestion.
What about getting a job as a yard jockey, trailer switcher, whatever you want to call it. That would force you to learn and practice backing in a more controlled environment and probably make you all together more comfortable then once you do it will be easier to move on I would imagine.
Good luck, I vote conquer the obstacles! -
To the OP, I have a suggestion, learn how to eat right, take supplements and see if that helps your situation.
