Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you OTR guys have the unlimited data plans on T-Mobile or Sprint. If so, how's the service/coverage area? I've only used ATT and Verizon in the past, and I was wondering how good the nationwide coverage has been for the unlimited data plans on Sprint and T-Mobile?

If you're an OTR driver forget about T-mobile and especially Sprint. You'll be dropping calls left and right. Verizon has by far the best coverage followed by ATT. T-Mobile and Sprint are good if you stay put in a major city. There is a website that show the coverage areas of the different carriers you can see for yourself:

Thats disappointing to hear, since ATT and Verizon don't offer unlimited data plans

What do you download that you need unlimited? I have the 4 gig plan from Verizon and only use 75% each month and I download a lot of youtube videos.

I have been with T-mobile a long time, I am switching this weekend. Their service is terrible if you're OTR, and forget going into Canada unless you plan on wifi calling, they get you coming and going.

Mostly Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, and internet radio. It would go way over Verizon or ATT's data packages. One movie on Netflix is about 1 gb, lol. I used to have Verizons unlimited data and I was grandfathered in when they quit offering it, but I just ended my contract with them and looking for a company with unlimited data

Verizons website shows their "Share Everything" plans up to 10GB for $100 (I think thats just the data charge). If you scroll to the bottom, they offer plans above 10GB, all the way to 50GB.

    Overage is $15 per GB.

Just go into a store or call them and tell them what you want. If the sales rep cant help you, just ask for a manager, they have what you are looking for.

Verizon also has a habit of contracting with some very good regional carriers to provide coverage in areas that other companies cannot, like Bluegrass Cellular in Kentucky and Cricket in Tennessee.

Everyone laughs at straight talk but it works pretty good, you just don't get the latest and greatest phone, and if that don't suit you, once your signed up they will send you a sim card to use ALMOST any phone you want.
