Been looking around and see many of there own trucks but never any other operators. I always try to talk with drivers before making any switch. I just read where one guy makes $300,k a year and doing well over $2.00 a mile and don't work much. Is this possible??? I have my own truck and trailer not looking for a lease purchase deal.
Any owner operators leased to TMC?

Get it right......He claimed to be making $150k NET a year, but that was only after a few week of working for them, so.......
If you are willing to take that pay cut, and learn from the best of the bestbiggrin_25525
, then go for it!

Don;t listen to left lane. he knows nothing about TMC and doesnt work as an O/O for them. He knew I am an O/O for TMC and knew i would post here. For some reason he is in the middle of a pissing contest with me. Politics between me and left lane aside.....
the one guy that makes over 300k a year is lieing. TMC is not a bad gig, but not 300K, even gross. I average 2.21 a mile GROSS since January. I'm averaging 2000 miles a week. I;ll prob work 50 weeks this year, thus 2.21*100000= 221,000 gross. Now if you run your truck half way decent you can run it for under a buck a mile. My average since January is .87/mile. This includes, fuel, tax insurance, maintenance etc. That leave me a profit of 1.34/mile or about 134,000 dollars for the year. This number is getting better as I'm paying more attention to what states/ locations I buy fuel. My truck has also been repaired and mpg has gone up. Since i just fixed a whole bunch of stuff, my average maintenance cost should go down as i run more miles. So, with a bad truck and not buying fuel in the right place im on track to NET 134,000. By improving my fuel purchasing and my mpg my numbers are getting better each month. SO, 300K...um probably an exaggeration. 200+ gross is believable. 100+ net should be attainable.
The numbers i have posted here are based on my actual accounting averages since January. This is pay for all odometer miles, (oor, dead head and loaded)
Now, TMC likes there O/O. They treat um well and keep us moving. If you have any specific questions about TMC, i'd be happy to answer them for you. All in all, I'm quite happy with the amount i make, the load selection, and how much they stay out of my way and let me drive.EZX1100 Thanks this. -

Cracking up over here......Some can't see right in front of them!
P'ing match? Not on my end.
134, 150, whatever. It's still either a dream or bad accounting. Dont bother, we all know you "run" your business better than the rest of us, although I would like to see some of this negotiation take place, where rates are concerned.
Go on, you know you want to....that button is around somewhere...skateboardman and IH Truck Guy Thank this. -
Gross, you should expect over 2 bucks a mile and 100k miles per year...thus at least $200,000 -
We all tried telling you that genius, but you claimed to know how to look after a truck better than the rest of us etc.
I can go in and find the drivel if you want, but it is what you claimed.
Either way, keep it up! -
Things like the ops eco pure, supper singles, and other maintenance saving tech i use has nothing to do with the maintenance problems i've been having.
