Im picking up a haz mat load Friday. Ive been hauling the stuff for 27 years no big deal.
-
I agree it's not, but Roehl doesn't do enough of it to warrant the hassle and money of getting it. They don't even have permanent placard holders on the trailers. But for those that want to get it, then get it.Dragonfly619 Thanks this.

I have all my endorsements. While in training, I have been told by most people I meet that very little hazmat is hauled. I have twins, hazmat and tankers. I figure they are good to have because you never know what the future holds.
-
Again if it's what you want go for it. I never got anything extra, never needed or wanted them. Maybe tanker, but it's easy enough to go take a written test to add it. When I first started I was living in MA, each endorsement is $30 or was then. And when you renew your license it's the cost of the CDL, plus $30 per endorsement. So I wasn't paying for all that. When I moved, I didn't bother getting them then either. But that's me, everyone is different. I have no desire at all to haul dbl/trpl.

I'm the same way. Only endorsement I have is tank. I don't even have my passport. Heard too many Canada horror stories. I get enough miles without having to cross the border.

What's life like in Nat'l Flatbed? Are all those trucks Prostars?
-
Do you guys know if there is a terminal in Southern California??
-
No terminal, just a drop yard (if ya wanna call it that.) in Fontana, CA. The closest terminal is Phoenix, AZ
-
I have all the endorsements. There is one HUGE advantage to hauling Haz Mat that nobody has mentioned. They can't route you down I 94 through Chicago. As a result I always asked for the hazmat loads!
Heysunshine Thanks this.
