What if you haul dry van that week, or mostly that week? What if customers you go to you don't collect detention and it's not drop hook and they unload their own freight? I started 2 1/2 yrs ago at .30 cpm for dry van. If your 34 hrs is up and your available and freight needs to be delivered I wouldn't count on 48 hrs off. Not trying to be a downer and hope it works out, I'd look at the worse case scenario bc anything can and will happen. GL

I know what you are saying, I drove awhile ago so know how you can sit sometimes. But OTR is not an option for me. Having 2 kids at home doesn't allow that. I am not desperate for money, just want to get back working. With my recent back surgery this is the best option for me. Could have gone back to work at coke but then I might hurt myself even more. I can take a hit a week or two. Just looking to get back out on the road.

i have a daughter as well so I know how it is. If anything it doesn't pan out I wouldn't be surprised if there's other dedicated opportunities or even a hometime fleet possibly in your area to switch to

Ok one more question. Can anyone that is in the national otr refer fleet tell me if you get decent miles. Trying to decide hometime fleet or national. Just curious which would have more miles.

I drove for Roehl for a little while, I would think national it would give you more options for picking up and delivering (more area) but, I would ask a recruiter that's why they are there.

The papers I got said they try to get 2600 to 2800 for hometime and 2300 to 2600 for national but I would think national would get more. That's why I asked.

They try to give hometime more due to you not being out so long over a month as nationals are. That's how it was explained to me by quite a few fellow drivers.

Are you national. I am going national refer but just anxious to get started probably why I keep ask so many questions. Thanks I hope to meet all these drivers that are patient enough to answer all my questions. I just want to make sure i am joining the right fleet.
