Thanks! I just didn't want to be rude by presuming someone would let me bum a ride when I don't even know them. I also don't want to have to buy a 2nd car before I can go to class, if I can find a way around it.

 

Cool! Thanks! I'm really looking forward to this but won't commit to a class date yet (if they accept my app) until I get my ducks in a row at home. Probably early September. I'm so impatient; waiting will make for a loooong summer.

 

Go feed the Giraffe's at the zoo, that will help you kill time this summer. My kids loved it.

 

I hope to run into some new drivers from this forum when I go to orientation in June. Its going to be an interesting experience

 

I've been waiting since early April...and now I go this Monday and it still seems like forever and I only live an hour away!

I stared the local CDL school last June,had to drag things out due to my day job. Its crazy to finally have a date set to start orientation. I'm nervous but mostly excited

 

I'm out at gary. Got a load from Saukville, wi to oxford, ms. They have me doing some sort of check ride along tomorrow. They say a orientation teacher is going to check my securement and we'll go for a short drive. Apparently they are making everyone who goes through the school do it around 45 days of actual driving. I got to talk to Winetaster for a while today. Thing is still rough for him in the miles department. Was good to talk to him again though. If anyone else is here, I'm up in the drivers lounge.

Oh. I hear the school has acquired a driving simulator. Less time on the road for the new drivers. I don't like the idea of that. One of the things that prepared me so well was the ton of seat time I got in the school
