Hey I'm highly considering Roehls to train for CDL. But I had a question about the "paid $500/week". Do they pay you that amount or is that what they tell you and they take it away for lodging, food, etc.

I'm just wondering because I have bills needing to be paid while I'm I training.

I'm pretty sure they pay you that, but you'll be under contract to drive for them for a certain amount of miles. I'm sure someone else that's done it will chime in.

Training is paid. Your room and meals are paid by Roehl. The money paid to you as training pay goes to you.

Current video from their website says you're under 15 month contract to repay for your training.

That's a pretty long time in this industry. Most new drivers wash out long before that.

    I wonder if it's prorated?

Not sure, most of the info on the site says 1 year but I just watched the video on their application link and it said 15 months. Perhaps they knocked it back to a year and haven't updated the video?

I'm thinking the other way around. Certainly a good question to get clarification on.

There are so many ways a new driver can get knocked out and then they would be stuck with a big bill.

For sure, guess it's something to make sure and ask your recruiter if you're trying to get on. Sucks for the new drivers either way, great for the company

    Strad_gal and DsquareD Thank this.
