Only I can fuel FASTER at a Pilot! :). Even with some idiot parking at the fuel island, going inside for subway and a shower and coming back out, and it still wouldn't take as long as Gary. :)

Pretty much everyone spends time at gary. Its the hub of the company for the most part. Can't say I miss that place. Fueling aleays a joke! I tried to fuel in the morning unless I knew I needed the trlr looked at.

Do they require all drivers to get a passport? The website says they run Canada, but they don't mention a passport in the list of requirements. I would guess that means it's optional. I'd like to run National if I were to choose Roehl, but I don't cross borders.

They do have some drivers without a passport. Not sure if they will hire or not now. They run quite a bit of Canada. Now there are some drivers that have never gone and others like myself who went 15+ Times in a year. Its just the roll of the dice. I don't see em letting a guy go because he never gets a passport, but it could happen I suppose.

I don't have a passport and they've never mentioned that I need one either.

One more question- can a driver choose any terminal to be based out of? I use my parents address in OH, but if I went to Roehl, I'd like to be based out of KS City.

Unless you are running one of the hometime fleets that require you park at a yard it really doesn't matter.

Actually, the hometime fleet is the point :biggrin_2559:

I'd start out on maybe the 30/6 or something like that, but in a couple years I'd like to be on a 14/7. When I do that, I want to be based out of somewhere central (such as Kansas City) so I can get anywhere in the US quickly. I'm going to buy a camper van to keep at the yard to live in on the 7 days off. Work 2 weeks, camp one week. Can't afford it just yet, but soon!

That's the main reason I'm looking at Roehl. Transport America is the only other I know of offering 14/7 and I didn't think much of them when I worked for em a few years back.

You would be based out of the terminal closest to your address if you're on the Hometime fleet and then you have to live within a certain distance. I think its 100 miles, but not positive on the distance.

We don't have a terminal close to Kansas City so they'd probably send you to Gary.
