I live in Denver and run "Van National" and I have hit pretty much all of the lower 48. Evenly balanced. Sometimes I to alot of east/west runs, then sometimes I'll bounce around on the east coast for a week at a time. If you are in the "National" fleet, you will run pretty much everywhere. But, like I said, it seems that Roehl does have alot of business in the east.

I think all companies have a lot of business in the east, I don't dislike it there
I just like going all over, I get bored in one area too long....

My last job I was in NJ, WV, OH, PN, for nearly 6 weeks, I thought I was going to lose my mind ....LOL

I would say the majority of their freight is east of the mississippi, but i did make it to Texas and California. Not often, but i made it there once. Lol. Seems like you get into a cycle some here with roehl. Heading east and west on 80 or running in and out of the east coast. Then i had been running the midwest a bit... i have heard guys making it all over. If you got a good FM and planner they will get you out of a back and forth run if they like ya...

My last job was pretty much all NYC or Chicago LTL loads. I called Roehl on the way back to Denver from the E. Coast and told them that as soon as they wanted me back, I was ready to get rehired! :biggrin_2556: Roehl is a comfort zone for me.

So I've seen a bunch of Roehl trucks cruising down the highways lately, and they're all CLEAN...pretty pretty pretty...is there some regular routine the drivers are supposed to have to get to a terminal for wash, or is it a run through a Streakin' Beacon every week?
I can't imagine that all these guys live in warm climates and have access to power washers, etc.

Marshfield, Gary, and Ellenwood terminals have truck washes that move the dirt from one area of your truck to another. I have only been to the one at Gary this time around, but they used to have a pressure washer to clean your truck, now they seem to have automated truck washes. Like I said, the one in Gary did a great job of moving the dirt around, but that's about it. :biggrin_2556:

You can still use the old style up in Iron Mountain if you ever get up that way.
