So would it be smart to invest in the cobra blue tooth cb? I would rather just buy a head set and keep the cb that i already have, but if it will keep me out of trouble that im guessing it would be worth it.?

Well that would be the same thing really, using your cb to talk on the phone while driving is still talking in the phone while driving. While Roehl does discourage headset use while moving it is not illegal. You won't get fired for it, but dispatch will not talk to you while truck is moving and may get on your case about it. You will however get fired for using your phone without a hands free device, if found out.

When dealing with dispatch its best to use
    The quallcom for all comuniction.
    That way everything is documented!
Especially with night and weekend dispatch ! :biggrin_2556:

I talked to them on the phone before and then hung up and qualcomed to get it in writing... lol
i have had them call when i was driving a couple times. Only answered once and said "I'm driving" then hung up... didn't give em a chance to identify themselves. Few minutes later the QC beeps asking if i can pick up a relay and an apology.
