sorry for being so obtuse I was responding to an earlier message and hadn't figured out that it's a good idea to quote the message before asking about something. I don't message? a lot (until now) so I got a lot to learn.

The website states that the company tries to give their drivers 2300-2600 miles a week. For a new driver, are these numbers realistic. What could a new driver really expect to get if he is willing to run.

And the numbers are realistic. Doesn't matter if your new or not. After you go solo you'll be helped along the way as far as decisions to make or questions you may have. Once u get your dispatcher after phase training you can have short runs to long runs. Anywhere from 1 day loads to 4 day loads depending on point a to point b is. Phase training if your wondering is phase 1 training at a terminal for a week, phase 2 with a driver trainer for 8-9 days. Then phase 3 for me was 6 weeks where your solo but have day to day interaction with your dispatcher for questions and concerns. Then after that your solo. Phase 3 and after your paid cents per mile (cpm ). But u could pick up and deliver the same day, pick up and deliver next day, pick up and drive shut down, drive all day shut down, then deliver next morning. Depends how far u have to go. Hope this helps but its realistic. And I drive van could be different for other fleets I'm not sure

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but this is a long thread.

I am supposed to start orientation with Roehl on 5/28 and go into the national flatbed fleet. My lease on my apartment ends in October, so I am going to keep it until then and make an evaluation as to whether I can viably live on the road for a year or two, to get debt free and some savings in the bank. However, if I give up my apartment, I have no address anymore, and no family in NV to change it to. I do have realtives in FL (which is also a no income tax state).

Would I be able to transfer my home address to FL and still work for Roehl?
Would Roehl and DOT accept a PO Box as an address if I got one in NV?

If I give up my address, hometime doesn't concern me, as I can pretty much stop anywhere and rent a room and a car for a couple days, or stay with relatives, so how would my "home base" affect my employment?

Questions for Roehl drivers. What is Roehl's policy on parking the truck at your house? Do they have a yard or terminal in Phoenix? Would appreciate any & all help w/ my questions. Thank you.

There is a terminal in Phoenix. I believe you would have to park there if it's within 65 miles from your house or something.
