Hope Grant covers everything except the fuel surcharge and a tech school fee. I know the two schools I'm looking at came to 170 bucks I have to cover. Not bad.
-
also have a commercial vehicle atlas, i have had 3 guys recently without one, I found a large scale, tear proof pages and spiral for 39 bucks at a flying j

It's just wrong to go out on the road without a trucker's atlas!

You mentioned bringing your own food. Sounds great, but, how much? A cooler, a bag? And what size sheets? What about a laptop?

I have been trying to duplicate the test here at home (school 9/20) because I don't want to miss out on this opportunity due to failing this part. The one that concerns me is the Lat Pull down (130 lbs 3 reps). By the picture I really cant figure out what it is. I use a 62 lb chimney block that I carry 240 feet up hill to recreate the the 70 lb 40 foot carry. My thinking is that if I work harder then the test will be easier. I even quit smoking! (8 days and counting). My max heart rate for these tests is 153.9. Carrying the block for 200 feet on flat ground brings me up to 110.
Anyway... any input on this would be most appreciated. -
The only hard part is carrying the 70lbs to the front of the trailer and back again.sly1 Thanks this.

~60lbs and yes it is, just take your time.

Flatbed for some reason gets 70 lbs....

That's only because Flatbedders actually work. Other than that, it's rather arbitrary.
