I applied this week and am waiting to hear back. Last time I talked to someone, they were checking out all of my info.

Jaycee, I can vouch for Sarge as I know him personally and was trained by him, I ditto his comments. Myself, a 39yr-old married father of two, this has been the hardest part of doing what I now do, driving Flatbed for Maverick. My kids are a little older than yours now though. My family is supportive of me- and it sounds like you are equally lucky to have the support of a great woman also. Knowing what I know now, and putting myself "in your shoes"- why don't you stick it out a little while longer and watch your kids grow in their early years. Help to develop them- they need that. Around school time, maybe then you could take another look at OTR. Just my two cents for what its worth..... AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DRIVING FOR MAVERICK!

Thank you for your insight, I do have a great job and I do love it, I guess I am just getting a little burnt out (which is gonna happen anywhere I go) so I was just looking for something different but it wouldn't be fair to have my wife take care of our children by herself, which 1 is getting close to the "terrible 2's" lol, while I go out for a week at a time. Thanks again!

How is their L/P program? I am in the St. Louis area, how are the lanes around St. Louis?

The US Regional Flatbed division is all over that area. Not sure what you mean by L/P though.

Hey Sarge, yeah its me.. you know I'm just jokin with you. I'm new to this forum and I think its kinda cool. I hope that maybe guys will eventually ask me questions like they ask you. We tell em how it is.
Do you mind if I tell these guys how much money you make? Nevermind, thats private info. I won't tell them that you make $95000 a year as a company driver, that would be speaking out of school. :)
    Keep on truckin
