You really shouldnt be in any higher then 5th for making a turn, any faster and you risk shifting your load or not being able to stop before hitting a car or takeing out a light poll of fire hydrant. If its a big wide turn 6th might be ok but for the most part you should always be in 5th or below......

I totally disagree, we're talking gears, not speed...It's not like you max out the speed 6th can take you but making a turn in 6th not an issue in the least...

You are not reving the motor in 6th and you can power out of it when you are in 5th or 6th. TD24 -
