My truck got delayed coming out of Chicago so I'll have a loaner this week (1733). Shes an old gal with a lotta miles but runs pretty good. First load going to Indy tomorrow morning.

Sorry if this one's been asked before but . . . Does W/S run flatbeds and if so, where is the training and can you take the Rig home?

yes W/S has a Flatbed Devision, You have to be with the company 6 months to switch to Flatbed (it might be differant if you come here as an experianced driver) Flatbed Training is done in Missioula, MT. And from what I've heard the Flat Bedders can take there trucks home.

There is a thread on the FB devision in the W/S section where our FB'ers can answer your questions better then i can.

AT's already answered this partially, but your best bet to find out where flatbed trains is to contact the training department. When I went through flatbed training (abbreviated version), I didn't have an official trainer. Dick just retired-- he used to be the flatbed trainer. Rich, who is a driver who helps out training, might be the one who runs flatbed classes in the future, but I haven't heard anything AND I don't know if they're still hiring new flatbedders. Training WAS done in Missoula. So, again, best bet is to contact training.

You are right, she just got a new turbo and a few other things. We drove it about 1000 miles in orientation and had no problem. This will make a good first truck, it will make the next one look great no matter what shape it's in!

    American-Trucker Thanks this.

Got 1733 here at the shop in Dalton. The boys are going to change the oil and fuel filter. Running OK so far :biggrin_2556:
