    Good to know AT, thanks.

Curious, is there a reason one terminal pays more than the others?

The extra $5 is just built into their customers rates

Also ALL thomasville dc's are driver assist, which means you will unload

Shoot, I hadn't noticed that Myrtle paid more. Learn something every day.

As far as the truckload furniture deliveries, unless it was a drop and hook I've never had a single one that wasn't driver assist.

Looks like I'm headed to missoula next month. W/S sounds like a great company. One question though, I will be based out of Modesto and told them I wanted to ron out of Conover but I would like to get get home every 4 to 6 weeks. Is this a possibility? I was told yes but what is the reality. Tnx in advance.

the reality is your going to make bank doing that. east/west runs are often term to term and they got lots going from conover to modesto so getting home should be as easy as a d/h

Hubby and I have been looking into Watkins and have already talked to one driver, but curious, we are with Crete right now and we are barely able to get 1600 miles every week. They say the low miles are industry wide, how are the miles for you guys? Especially the drivers running National... we live in CA and would want to run National, also do you do a lot of New York, New Jersey? And do you do a lot of Canada? Does Watkins require every driver to run Canada, just wondering because neither of us have a passport... thanks for any info you can give us... we've been with Crete 7 years and really don't want to leave, but we won't have a choice if this continues.

they have dedicated drivers that go to canada. You wont see the north east very much if at all, they started useing short line drivers for the north east this past winter. And when i was there i ran 2800-3300 miles on average a week, best week being 4000 miles and my worst week was like 2000 miles. The miles are there and you can run as hard as you want no stupid E-log bs to deal with.

So American Trucker you don't drive for them anymore? When did you leave? I'm hoping that the miles are good still, hubby will be happy about not going to Canada :) so far everything I've read sounds really good. Really want to make sure first, we are giving it until September or so when we get our 2 week vacation so we can make the transition easier, do you know what the cpm pay is for a driver with 12 years exp? We are making .42 a mile a Crete, but we haven't had a raise in over 4 years and with the miles we are running we might as well make less per mile if we can run harder...

I left November 30th 2011 to go do Heavy Haul for Lone Star Transportation. Your cpm will more then likely drop a few pennies, but you'll get alot more miles and get a fuel bonus every month too. If your a team you can run insane amount of miles if you want, know alot of the ws teams and i've never heard any of them complain about miles.
