Any recent (2014) info on Ameri Freight Systems

Do you like being 1099ed and owing the IRS thousands at tax time?

 

ok I know this is an old thread but I am curious about this company as well. Anyone have any info other than the fact that they are 1099?
Is it an ok company to start back up with for a while after being out of driving for a long time?
Judging on what I read in the above threads im not so sure.
Anyone here work for them?

 

I don't work for them, but when I lived in Chicago (about 6 or so months ago), I worked for fedex ground and I delivered in Elk Grove village, and bensenville right next door to where their yard is currently at on Ellis ave. I spoke to a few of their drivers (tried many but hardly any spoke English.. Pretty much a polish owned and operated company) and they seemed to be happy. I know they have nice equipment, they just got prob 30+ new volvos within the last year. That's about all I know.
