i am seriously considering CDL school. I have the money and have studied the manual for my state, and I think I would like it. BUT, I would like to be able to ride along with a driver once or twice to see if the reality of it comes close to my idea of how it would be to do it as a job. Anyone have suggestions on how to go about that, would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know unless you know somebody who is driving and get get you on as an authorized rider. But I'd say 1 or 2 trips probably will leave you with either an overly-glorified opinion of the job or an overly-dismal opinion of the job ... depending on which two trips you hit on, and what type of trucking was engaged in, in relation to what you will end up in. There are dozens of different trucking type positions and they are vastly different between each one.
