The school looks ok. 160 hrs. school puts you in position for dozens of companies that will hire you. What type trucking job do you want?
    You still want California runs?

Trimac Transportation hires in your area and also has a terminal in Los Angeles. They have an OTR division running sleeper trucks. They hire new cdl grads on a case by case basis. One of their terminals is in Pensacola. Some of Trimac drivers, after 24 months, can make over $100K per year as coast to coast drivers.

Since they're picky about new cdl grads, visit the terminal and have a face to face talk with the terminal manager. You can do that before starting school.

This is what I drove running coast to coast. Gave up the new one on the left for the old one on the right.

This old flat top Freightliner is exactly like the one I drove pulling tankers coast to coast. Loved that truck. It was 10 speed with a Cat engine and pulled better than the new one on the left. They had two of them at the terminal and the terminal manager couldn't understand why we gave up a new truck to drive those old ones. Those old Freightliners had pulling power so it was worth sacrificing space and looks for a decent truck. Terminal manager had to force us out of those old trucks when they were put up for sale. We kept those old Freightliners spotless on the inside and didn't care about the outside appearance.
