You have to be more specific in my opinion, are you looking for an all around boot, steel toe, steel shank, insulated and how much, water proof, water resistant, work boot, snow boot, cowboy boot, cheap, top of the line ETC.
Was at a scrap yard on a very muddy day, i used that opportunity to ask one of the yard workers what kind of work boots he used since a scrap yard has every kind of foot hazard and condition you can imagine -cold, grease, water, sharp objects etc. --he said "Wolverine" he told me the model which i cant remember and said his boots were still waterproof after a number of years (i cant remember that either -but more than 4) --they definitely looked like they should be leaking from the condition on the outside. As we were having this conversation another yard worker walked up and heard what we were talking about and said he was wearing that same boot and they were just as old and did not leak either.
With that said --i say get "UGG" boots --if your a man, it should make for interesting chatter in the truck stop.
Any suggestions for boots or good shoes?

Yeah those Red Wings are good. Look more professional than the kmart texas steers also.In trucking one place I never skimped on was gear.I had some steel toe RWs for steel shippers but my go to daily choice was these tactical looking Under Armours ,light ,breathable and as comfortable as nike tennis shoes. They were just rigid enough for solid stability too. Next time you see a Cabelas or similiar try on a pair.110 bucks a pair. Also recommend a gore-tex parka ,one of those rugged waterproof cases for your smartphone, and a qualityknife with a clip. JMO anyways.

I used to wear the Danner Striker II zippered boot. Lately they have been getting too expensive, so I switched to these. They have a composite toe which is much better than a steel toe. You don't get cold toes in the winter.

Ariat, both steel and regular toe pull on cowboy boots, or Chippewa engineer boots for the most part. I do have a pair of insulated timberland pro boots for the colder areas though.

I have a pair of Sketchers work shoes with steel toes and a non slip sole that really works. I was walking on ice and really had to work on it if I wanted to slip.

Buy a pair of logger boots, and just run some 1/2" screws into the soles. Like studded tires...
