    06' Columbia.

I have replaced the back up light switch that mounts on top of the transmission. Also, replaced the reverse light housing at the rear of the truck. The bulb, the housing and the switch are all new.

Its an Eaton Fuller 10 speed, 3 pedal Smartshift. The transmission runs great and not having any problems.

    Thanks

With the engine off and the key on test for power at the back-up switch, then at the bulb, then check at the ground, at the plug at the back, there is a connection at the back of the transmission, right side of the frame, somewhere you have a bad connection or a burn fuse.
    Just a thought!

I would have checked the wiring after determining the light itself (edit: and fuse) weregood. Wires break in the strangest ways, sometimes even when the insulation looks good. A test light us an essential tool to have with you along with a jumper wire.

The first step is to diagnose the problem before you throw another dime at parts. I'm going to assume that you checked the fuse before you changed parts. Check for power at the reverse light switch on the transmission. If it has power, jump the plug that goes to the switch. If the lights come on, take the switch out and plug it in. Push it with your thumb, if the lights come on, you most likely have a worn pin not long enough to push the switch all the way. You'll need a little magnet to get the pin out of the hole to replace it.

If the lights don't come on jumping the switch, the problem is from the switch back, check the power and ground.

If you have no power to the switch in the first place, the problem is from the switch to the fuse panel.

Well guys problem solved. Previous owner modified the rear lights to 2x back up lights and 4x brake lights. Made their own wiring runs in there and put an inline fuse in there and taped it all up. Also, they put a 15 amp fuse in the fuse panel for the back up lights.

I snatched it all out and returned it to factory set up with 1x back up light with 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel and back to 2x brake lights. Everything looks good and functioning like it's supposed too.

    Thanks everybody for your suggestions.
